Last week was a great week!
Monday: I scaled (scaling is what we call cleaning someones teeth) on my perio patient (patient with a great need of dental attention) and got a good amount accomplished! See all that whitish/yellowish stuff on the back of the teeth? I scaled all of that off! YAY! Tuesday: We ended up not having the test we were supposed to have in community! That was both a good and bad thing... Good that we didn't have to take it... Bad that now I have to study it again before next tuesday!

Wednesday: I had competency testing in the afternoon and did great! I decided to get my manual scaling test out of the way along with calculus (tarter) detection. I passed both parts which made me a very happy girl! In the evening clinic I saw a patient that is a friend of mine!

Thursday: I finished cleaning one of my patients teeth and had a blast using the airjet polishing system on him! He was a riot!

Friday: I had class in the morning and went to breakfast with some of the DH girls! We had to go to the super boring ADHA meeting for 4 hours! At least there were muffins and cookies :)
Saturday: I worked my booty off at work! Flowers by Michelle is now open at our new location on buffalo / 215. I spent the whole day organizing... moving around furnature... and cleaning!
Then I went over to Jen and Caitlin's house for a fun night of carving pumpkins! We put masks and wigs on to get in the Halloween spirit! We had a blast!

Yay! I am starting over on this whole blog thing! (as per popular demand, apparently I have people who check this thing) <3 So right now I am really enjoying the little bit of free time I have from School and work. My school life seems to be going quite well and I intend for it to stay that way! Classes this semester are Community Public Health, Dental Materials, Periodontics II, Special patients and of course clinic! I have given 2 patients anesthetic so far and it is such a blast to work on a patient that can't feel anything you are doing to them :) hahaha! I had to do a project in my special patients class where a partner and I had to do some sort of activity with a sensory impairment. Our impairment was blindness, so we went out to dinner at olive garden while my partner was blind and went bowling while I was blind. It was a freeking blast so I decided to share some pics!

Me blind at the bowling ally!

Using the ramp... but it got boring after a while, so i stopped using it!

That's right! I got a strike! BLIND!

I beat my partner... and she wasn't blind!

And not only did i beat her once! BUT TWICE! :) HAHAHA
